@hollie
That’d be a dealbreaker for me. I left PayPal and Venmo because of an AI agent.
@hollie
One of the estate agent sites, I window shop on while we are looking for our next house, has an AI assistant pop up. I can minimise it, but not dismiss it. And it pops up on every listing I look at.
I said to Sue that even if the right property came up I wouldn't buy it through them for that reason alone!
How frustrating. I transiently knew the guy (barefoot ted) who started that business. Probably one of the most chill dudes I’d met by that point in life and completely disconnected from excessive tech. I guess he’s less involved these days and it’s another example of enshittification.
If you have no joy and want the barefoot style of sandal, I like vibrobarefoot products.
@tempusfelix @superball @Maker_of_Things Full disclosure: I did end up buying the sandals. I really wanted to avoid them but they have the highest stack height of any zero drop sandal I could find. I've tried the Bedrocks and the Earth Runners and there are problems with those. And yeah I'd just finished reading McDougall's second book so I was enthusiastic about Lunas, but this has seriously dampened my enthusiasm.

If bullshit is everywhere, sometimes ya gotta step in it. 🤷🏻♀️🤎

@hollie HaHAha right, I didn’t think of that!! 🤣💩👟

Needs must, and no judgement.
It is getting so difficult to avoid the pointless AI stuff sometimes so you do what you need to do.
Similarly, we really do our best to reuse and recycle everything, but we still need to just put stuff in 'that bin' sometimes.
@hollie leave a bad google review. Companies really care about having good reviews.
